Enjoy winter camping at area parks
Camping is one of the favorite ways to enjoy the Highland Lakes, even (and maybe especially!) in the winter, when average temperatures are in the mid-60s.
There’s a style for just about everybody, from backpacking at one of the several state parks such as Colorado Bend and Pedernales Falls or just pitching a tent and enjoying the scenery.
You’ll find a guide to local parks in the Fall/Winter 2012/2013 edition of 101 Fun Things to Do in the Highland Lakes. Pick one up for free at stores in the Hill Country or click through our digital version online.
You also can sign up for daily news emails at www.dailytrib.com. You’ll always be in the know about where to go in the Highland Lakes!
