Burnet JV girls win one, lose three close games at Eastview tourney
GEORGETOWN — The Burnet High School girls junior varsity team went 1-4 at the Georgetown Eastview Tournament on Dec. 6-8.
The Lady Dawgs beat Bastrop 26-17 but lost to Leander 25-24, Eastview 16-15 on a late free throw and Georgetown white 17-15 in sudden-death overtime with Georgetown white scoring a basket first to escape with the victory.

AGAINST LEANDER: Points – Adair 7, Makayla Warden 6, Hullum 5, Bond 4, McCurry 2
QUOTABLE: "It’s tough to lose three games by a total of four points, but we are a team of persistence," Burnet coach Doug Messer said.
