Mustang tennis players make all-district teams

MARBLE FALLS — Several Marble Falls High School tennis players were recognized for their play by the District 25-4A coaches for the fall team tennis season.

Junior Mike Stripling was given the Sportsmanship Award and was the only Mustang to earn a special recognition from the coaches.

“A very deserving award for a great player,” assistant coach Hilary McCasland said. “Mike displays great effort and an incredible attitude on and off the court.”

RESULTS: Boys — Sportsmanship Award: junior Mike Stripling, 2-3 in district and 8-4 overall. Honorable mention doubles: sophomore Daniel Baxter and senior Jason Rogers, 1-2 record. Girls — Singles honorable mention: Sophomore Madison Dyer, 2-3 district record and 8-4 overall. First-team doubles: senior Mattie Cryer and junior Hannah Dockery, 6-0 district record. Second-team doubles: Dyer and senior Kelsey McCasland, 5-1 district record. Honorable mention doubles: sophomore Makenzie Harrison and junior Lauren Parten, 4-2 in district and 10-4 overall.
