BURNET — For most golfers, there’s not a better way to start a holiday week than to record a hole-in-one.

It happened for Terri Wahlert at the No. 13 hole at Delaware Springs Muncipal Golf Course from 105 yards using a 9-iron club. Witnesses include Lajean Lewis.
Stan Smith of Marble Falls recorded his second hole-in-one in nine weeks at Horseshoe Bay Resort in Horseshoe Bay. The most recent was at the No. 3 hole of Apple Rock course June 25 using a hybrid 19 deg Ping from 180 yards. Witnesses included Ed Ayers, Tim Cowing, Phil Caldwell and John Redden.
The other occurred April 13 on Slick Rock course No. 13 hole from 170 yards using the same hybrid club. Witnesses included Jim Browning and Phil Lee.
