Two Faith golfers finish in top 10 at state tournament
KILLEEN — Marble Falls Faith Academy seniors Beth Ann Berkman and Peter Perkins made the most of their last chance to represent their school’s golf teams.
The two finished in the top 10 at the Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools state tournament in the girls and boys categories for the second consecutive year April 23-24.
Perkins shot a 78-85–163 for fourth place overall, while Berkman recorded a 94-103–197 for 10th overall.
Perkins was eighth a year ago.
"We’re definitely very proud of him," athletic director John Berkman said of Perkins.
Lady Flames freshman Taylor Denton shot a 111-105–216, while junior Courtney Cozby earned a 131-140–271 and Rachel Love added a 140-140–280.
"We’re definitely very proud of our girls," Berkman said. "This is the first time they had a team. That sets the tone for future years to come."
