"It’s great from the standpoint it shows our school is maturing and growing," Faith athletic director John Berkman said. "You’re getting more kids involved."

Both teams took to the greens in the Temple Holy Trinity Invitational at Stonetree Golf Course in Killeen on March 20.

Perkins tied for third, shooting a 77, while Beth Ann Berkman finished third with an 87.

Stonetree is the site of the state tournament April 23-24.

"It was good for our players to get on the course and get that experience," John Berkman said.
