Two Burnet swimmers qualify for state meet
Burnet boys finish 15th; girls place 16th at regional meet
SAN ANTONIO — Burnet High School swimmer Seth Timmons and diver Savanna Meadows qualified for the state meet thanks to their finishes at the Class 4A Region VII Meet Feb. 11.
Timmons is the 500-yard freestyle champion after finishing in 4 minutes 41.28 seconds.
Meadows earned 400.95 points to finish second in the one-meter diving competition.
RESULTS: Boys — 500-yard freestyle, Seth Timmons, 1st, 4:41.28; 200-meter freestyle, Timmons, 5th, 1:46.94. Girls — 200-yard individual medley, Mandee Harris, 19th, 2:94.32; 100-yard backstroke, Ashlea Beckner, 8th, 1:03.91; 200-yard medley relay, Burnet (Beckner, Sydney Cardenas, Harris, Laura Meadows), 17th, 2:17.56.
