SAN ANTONIO — Five Faith Academy students are poised to add to the swim team’s trophy case based off their finishes at the recent regional meet.

The Flames qualified for the state meet Feb. 18 for the sixth straight year.

The top six finishers at the north division regional meet will make up the other half of the state meet and the fastest eighth- and ninth-place finishers also earned an invitation for a total of 14 swimmers in each event.

“If we can finish in the top six, we are doing fabulous,” Faith coach Martha Montoya said.

RESULTS: 200-yard freestyle, Shelby Fairleigh, 9th; 50-yard freestyle, Molly Marrs, 5th, Christina Lykken, 7th, Tori Roeder, 9th, Ariel Blaylock, 23rd; 100-yard butterfly, Roeder, 6th; 100-yard freestyle, Lykken, 13th, Blaylock, 21st; 500-yard freestyle, Fairleigh, 4th; 200-yard freestyle relay (Marrs, Roeder, Lykken, Fairleigh), 3rd; 200-medley relay, Faith (Fairleigh, Roeder, Marrs and Lykken), 6th.
