Mustangs beat Uvalde, Cedar Creek at tourney

WIMBERLEY — The Marble Falls High School boys basketball team enjoyed its most productive opening quarter of the year against Uvalde on Dec. 27 and its most productive second half of the season against Bastrop Cedar Creek on Dec. 28.

The points added up to a 55-42 victory against Uvalde and a 47-37 win against Cedar Creek at the Christmas Hoop Fest Tournament.

The Mustangs (6-13) trailed 10-9 after the first quarter against Cedar Creek and 24-19 at the half.

But Marble Falls head coach Bruce Etheridge used the intermission to emphasize teamwork on defense.
