Lady Stangs’ solid second half secures win
DRIPPING SPRINGS — After giving up 17 points in the final period against Lake Travis on Monday, the Marble Falls High School girls basketball team wasn’t about to do the same against Dripping Springs on Friday.
With less than two minutes left in the third quarter, the Lady Mustangs (1-1) took a 21-20 lead after a driving layup by senior guard Whitney Ulbricht.
They never trailed again, winning 34-27.
“We picked up the intensity level in the third quarter,” Lady Mustangs head coach Stephanie Gamble said. “That helped us out a lot. We did a better job of executing our offense against their zone.”
