MARBLE FALLS — The Faith Academy girls basketball team enjoys a winning percentage against most opponents.

Austin Royals is an exception.

The home-schooled team, which is thinking national championship this season, added another victory in the series against the Lady Flames (8-3), winning 57-47 on Nov. 29.

"I thought it was a combination of them having a nice team and us making too many mistakes," Faith head coach Jerry English said. "They were able to dictate everything we did. I thought we fought them in parts."

The Lady Flames faced a 51-30 deficit headed into the final period but went on a 16-0 run thanks to baskets from senior post Brooke Field, junior guard Bailey Brinkley and sophomore guard Joanna Piatek.
