Sophomore Shilo Nelson shot an 83, the Mustangs’ best score, to lead the No. 2 squad. Sophomore Taylor Tackitt added a 90, while junior Dawson Taylor scored a 92 and junior Joe Portillo finished with a 96.

The Mustangs shot a few pars, bogeys and double and triple bogeys, Tackitt said.

"We have to take a lot of strokes off that," he said. "It’s an OK start."
