Three golfers hit holes in one at Highland Lakes courses

HORSESHOE BAY — Golfers recently recorded holes in one at two area golf courses.

Glenn Smith hit an ace on the par-3 No. 12 hole on the Ram Rock course at Horseshoe Bay Resort on Sept. 24. He used an 8-iron on the 145-yard hole. Witnesses were Bill Noble, Levi Bailey and John Woessner.

Jim Orwick aced the par-3 No. 17 on Ram Rock on Sept. 25. He used a 31-degree hybrid from 155 yards. Witnesses were Barbara Orwick, Gerald Barton and Charlotte Barton.

Ruth Coble had a hole in one at Delaware Springs Golf Course in Burnet on Sept. 18. She used a 9-wood at the No. 5 hole from 88 yards. Witnesses were William A. Coble, Melene Dedear and Jay Dedear.
