Bulldogs troubled by turnovers and Mustang offense in homecoming loss
BURNET — Two interceptions and a dogged offense helped Marble Falls High School clinch a hard-fought victory over cross-county rival Burnet at Bulldog Stadium Friday.
The Mustangs spoiled the Burnet homecoming festivities by beating the Bulldogs 35-21 during a non-district contest in front of grandstands packed with supporters for both sides.
Bulldogs head coach Doyle Walker said his team competed with all they had.
“We made some mistakes, and it wound up costing us,” he said. “The kids played hard. They fought till the end.”
Marble Falls scored during their first possession.
