Golfers record holes in one at area courses
BURNET COUNTY — Several golfers recently recorded holes in one at area golf courses.
Sylvia Andrews hit a hole in on the No. 2 hole at Slick Rock course at Horseshoe Bay Resort from 96 yards away using a pitching wedge May 21.
It was witnessed by Ed and Linda Rusk.
Three golfers hit holes in one at Delaware Springs Municipal Golf Course.
Dennis W. Sloan nailed one on the No. 13 hole from 132 yards using an 8-iron golf club May 24.
It was witnessed by Odell Buchhorn, Gleen R. Horn and Jim Myers.
Ian Shirley scored a hole in one on the No. 5 hole from 177 yards using a 6-iron May 21.
Brian Shirley, Tim Maranto and Kevin Reeves witnessed the feat.
Gary Wideman shot a hole in one on the No. 7 hole from 190 yards using a 4-iron May 13.
Witnesses included Boyd Sharp, Tony Nash and Marty Mosher.
