First round struggles too much for Mustangs

AUSTIN — Sometimes golf can be as easy to describe as basketball.

"We had some great drives in the middle of the fairway," Marble Falls High School golf coach Lonnie Tackitt said. "We hit the greens but took four or five putts. We hit some beautiful shots but couldn’t get the ball in the hole."

That sums up the Mustangs’ weekend at the 2011 Battle of the Lake Tournament hosted by Austin Westlake and Lake Travis.
