LLANO — Several of the Marble Falls Middle School tennis players left the Llano Tournament on Saturday as winners.

On the girls side, Madison Dyer won the champion for the seventh-grade girls singles.

The seventh-grade girls doubles champions were Makenzie Harrison and AnneClaire McCannon.

The eighth-grade girls singles champion was Hana Dockery.

Amanda Johnson and Anna Dimit faced teammates Julia Weber and Bailey Fry for the eighth-grade girls doubles championship.

“It was a very close match, and both played very hard,” coach Jill Chumchall said.

Johnson and Dimit took the win for the championship and Weber and Fry took second place.

For the boys, Melvin Sanchez won consolation in seventh-grade boys singles.

Cody Reitz and Ty Chesnut took second place for seventh-grade boys doubles.

Noah Guillen and Jordan Childress, who Chumchall called most improved, won the seventh-grade boys doubles consolation.

The eighth-grade boys singles champion was Taylor Tackitt, and eighth-grade boys doubles consolation winners were Mike Stripling and Mike Holder.

“Great job to all the participants,” Chumchall said.
