MASON — The Marble Falls Middle School tennis team placed second at the Mason Tournament Saturday.

“(The Ponies) did an awesome job,” coach Jillian Chumchal said.

The eighth-graders finished in first place as a team.

“As individuals we did really well,” Chumchal said.

Mackenzie Harrison and Anneclaire McCannon were fourth in seventh-grade girls doubles.

Lauren Parten and Amanda Johnson were second in eighth-grade girls doubles.

Melvin Sanchez and Daniel Baxter won consolation in seventh-grade boys doubles.

Sean Paris and Taylor Tackitt captured third place in eighth-grade boys doubles.

Ty Chesnut and Imani Benouis won consolation in seventh-grade mixed doubles.

Julia Weber and James Bryer won consolation in eighth-grade mixed doubles.

Madison Dyer won first place in seventh-grade girls singles.

Hannah Dockery won first place in eighth-grade girls singles.

Cody Reitz won consolation for seventh-grade boys singles.

Mike Stripling won first place in eighth-grade boys singles.

“Everyone who went to the tournament did a great job, worked hard and represented our school proudly,” Chumchal said.
