Jacob Harry "Ike" Isenberger, 88, of Llano and formerly of Sea Drift, died March 16, 2010. He was born Feb. 17, 1922, in Mounds, Ill., to Mary (Curren) and Homer George Isenberger. He married Mary Alma (Rhoades) Sept. 4, 1941, in Llano.
He moved to Llano in 1950 and had lived all over the United States, serving as a line superintendent working for Brown & Root Construction. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, the American Legion in Llano, the National Rifle Association and the Boy Scouts of America.
Survivors include sons Harry Andrew Isenberger and wife Dorothy of Palacious, and James William Isenberger and wife Irene of Kingwood; sisters Grace Campbell of Llano, and Rachel Campbell and Mary Heistand, both of Buchanan Dam; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife on June 3, 2004; parents; sister Violet Isenberger; and brothers Ray and Bill Isenberger.
Visitation is 5-7 p.m. March 17 at Waldrope-Hatfield-Hawthorne Funeral Home, 307 E. Sandstone in Llano, (325) 247-4300.
Funeral services are 10 a.m. March 18 at the Waldrope-Hatfield-Hawthorne Funeral Home Chapel in Llano; burial will follow at Llano City Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be Frank Priour, Chris Isenberger, Cory Isenberger, Kenny Rhoades, Harry Hewitt and Joe Walker.
