John Perry Barrett
John Perry Barrett, 93, of Austin and formerly of Llano, died March 16, 2010. He was born Oct. 16, 1916, in Pontotoc to Verda (Perry) and Merle Barrett.
He married Mildred (Capps) Nov. 17, 1935, in Mason.
Survivors include daughter Sandra Jennings and husband Randy of Austin; son Bill M. Barrett and wife Dale of Manchaca; sisters Maurice Krause of San Antonio and Maridell Johanson of Lavernia; grandchildren Jason Jennings, Juli Jennings, Andrea Barrett, Travis Barrett and wife Krista; great-grandson Tyler Barrett; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife in 2003; his son Russell E. Barrett; and his parents.
Visitation is 5-7 p.m. March 19 at the Waldrope-Hatfield-Hawthorne Funeral Home, 307 E. Sandstone in Llano, (325) 247-4300. A funeral service is 1 p.m. March 20 at the funeral home chapel with Eugene Greer and Randy Jennings officiating.
Pallbearers include Jason Jennings, Travis Barrett, Keith Johanson, Mike Krause, Charlie Johanson and Charles Johanson.
Honorary pallbearers are Olvis Osbourn, Curtis Osbourn, Bill Mitchell and Pleasant Mitchell.
Burial will follow at Pontotoc Cemetery.
