Young boy’s first hunting trip deemed a big success
MARBLE FALLS — Wes Hanson, 7, shot his first deer Nov. 28 while hunting with his father Tod Hanson and great-grandfather Forest Hanson at Calf Creek in McCollough County.
Wes Hanson needed only one shot from his rifle to drop the eight-point buck at about 100 yards.
Relatives said this was his first hunting trip.
Hanson is the son of Lori (George) Hanson, a 1984 graduate of Marble Falls High School, and the grandson of Holton and Reta George, longtime Marble Falls residents.
