Golfer hits hole-in-one at Horseshoe Bay's Summit Rock

HORSESHOE BAY — Jerry Merritt of Boerne recently hit a hole-in-one at the Horseshoe Bay Resort.

It was his fourth hole-in-one.

It happened on the No. 6 hole of Summit Rock using a 5 hybrid from 167 yards.

Witnesses were John Bailey, Brian Brademan and Scott Branson.

Delaware Springs golfer hits hole-in-one

BURNET — Craig Lusinger recorded a hole-in-one during a recent visit to Delaware Springs Municipal Golf Course.

It came on the 13th hole from 165 yards using a 6-iron.

Mary Lusinger witnessed the event.

Marble Falls Rotary Golf Tournament raises record $47,000 for local charities

HORSESHOE BAY — The 29th annual Marble Falls Rotary Golf Tournament set a new record by raising more than $47,000 for local charities in the Highland Lakes, according to organizers.

“Our membership pulled together to help meet our goals," Marble Falls Rotary President Rick Stacy said. "We thank all the community members and businesses who contributed and especially the Horseshoe Bay Resort for their continued support over the past 29 years.”

Two golfers hit holes-in-one at Horseshoe Bay Resort courses

HORSESHOE BAY — Two golfers playing at Horseshoe Bay Resort recently recorded holes-in-one.

Michael DeLos Santos recorded his hole-in-one May 6 at Apple Rock's No. 3 par 3 from 176 yards away using a 6-iron. Michael Molinar, Kevin Floyd and Michael Flores witnessed the event.

Mike Pickering aced the par-3 second hole on the Slick Rock Golf Course on May 3 using a 9-wood from 130 yards. Al Remack witnessed it.
