Jeanne Barfield, 87, died Feb. 9, 2015, while in Lakeway Regional Memorial Hospital.
A funeral service was Feb. 13 at Vanderveer Church of Christ in Burnet with a graveside service at Lakeland Hills Memorial Park.
Jeanne was born March 14, 1927, in Winters, Texas, the daughter of Hollis and Dora Hughes.
In 1943, Jeanne met and married the love of her life, Clarence Barfield. They were married 60 years and only separated at Clarence’s death in 2003. During this marriage, they were blessed with four children: Nat Barfield, Dennis Barfield, Kevin Barfield and Susan Jones.
Jeanne will be greatly missed but remembered by her children; sister, Gloria; 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
