Jose Rosalez Salazar
Jose Rosalez Salazar, 70, died June 3, 2012. He was born in Torreon, Coahuila, Mexico, on April 21, 1942, to Jose and Fidelia Rosalez Salazar.
He immigrated to the United States in 1968. He was a good provider for his family. For a time, he worked in a funeral home, although his main occupation was working construction in the oil fields.
Survivors include wife Evangelina Salazar of Marble Falls; children Julian Salazar and wife Tawnya Reed of Blanco, Raul Salazar of Marble Falls, Pedro Salazar and wife Elena of Burnet, Alfredo Salazar and wife Magali of San Antonio, Evangelina Castillo and Miguel Sic, both of Austin, Jose Salazar and wife Leti of Monclova Coahuila, Mexico, Sonia Salazar of Eagle Pass and Lorena Salazar of Marble Falls; and 16 grandchildren.
A visitation is 6-9 p.m. June 5 at Putnam Funeral Home, 145 Texas Ave. in Kingsland, (325) 388-0008. A graveside service is 1 p.m. June 6 at Post Mountain Cemetery in Burnet.
