Beverly Gene Delaney

Beverly Gene Delaney, 71, of Kingsland died Feb. 3, 2012, in Temple. She was born April 6, 1940, in Fort Worth to Louis Henry (L.H.) Blanke Jr. and Elizabeth Aileen (Jackson) Blanke.
She retired as a program manager with the IRS after 29 years. She had been a resident of the Kingsland area most of her life. She attended Kingsland Community Church and was a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star and Rebecah Lodge.
Survivors include her adopted daughter, Linda Owen Armstrong of Burnet; daughter-in-law Colleen A. Delaney of West Virginia; cousins Ronald Eugene Hanson and his wife Donna of Marble Falls, and Joseph Gilbert Hanson and his wife Bette of El Paso; grandchildren Mike, Tracy and Tammy; and great-grandchildren John, Travis, Kevin, Jennifer, Michelle, Chiann and Teriana.
She was preceded in death by her parents and son Terry Delaney in 2000.
A graveside service was Feb. 5 at the Kingsland Cemetery in Kingsland with the Rev. Grady Roe officiating.
Roe is pastor of the Highland Lakes United Methodist Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Kingsland Branch Library to purchase large-print books.
