Joseph James Venne

Joseph “Joey” James Venne, 20, of Bertram died Sept. 23, 2011. He was born in York, Penn., on June 3, 1991, to Stanley and Allison Venne.
He was an assistant manager at the Burnet Sonic Drive-In, a student at Central Texas College and was headed to the University of Texas in San Antonio in January.
He moved to Bertram with his family in July 2004. He attended Burnet schools and graduated in 2010. He was a member of The Hill Country Fellowship church.
He touched lives and hearts. He didn’t judge or condemn – he accepted. He was a young man, wise beyond his years, who left an impression on everyone who met him.
In addition to his parents, survivors include sister Hannah; grandparents Joseph and Maureen Hunter and Edmund and Kathleen Venne; aunts Rebecca Leharani, Joanne Hunter-Gibb, Stephanie Roland, Mary Lou Venne, Margie Venne and Kimberley Venne; uncles Doug Venne, Karim Leharani, Stephen Gibb and Mike Roland; and cousins Alexis, Zach, Djamel, Austin, Kayla, Makenzie, Zoe and Graeme.
He also is mourned by his dear friend Josh Gollnick.
He was preceded in death by his uncle James Venne.
Visitation is 6-8 p.m. Sept. 29 at the Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home, 306 Texas 29 East in Burnet, (512) 756-2222.
A service is 11 a.m. Sept. 30 at Hill Country Fellowship church.
