Bulldogs open district with win against Lampasas
BURNET – The Burnet Bulldogs jumped out to an lead early, stayed there and then pulled away in the fourth quarter for a 52-30 win over Lampasas Jan. 13.
The win gives the Bulldogs a 1-0 record in District 25-3A.
It’s also just the victory the team said it wanted.
“Everyday we come to practice and say we’ve gotta finish; we’ve gotta show up in the first quarter,” said senior guard Grant Cole. “We have to take it to them all four quarters; that’s what it takes to win this district.”
