Two Burnet swimmers place at state meet
AUSTIN — Two members of the Burnet High School swim team finished their season at the Class 4A state meet Feb. 25.
Sophomore swimmer Seth Timmons came in fifth in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 4 minutes 39.77 seconds, breaking the school record and setting a personal best.

Junior diver Savanna Meadows also nabbed a fifth-place finish with 417.55 points in one-meter diving.
“Seth is a super young man with great things in his future,” Burnet coach Nancy Moore said. “Savanna is an outstanding young lady with great goals for her future as well.”
Timmons finished fifth in the same event in 4:40.75 at the 2011 state meet.
