BURNET — Three Burnet High School football players were named first team all-district by coaches of District 25-3A.

They were seniors Ryan Rundiezer, a linebacker; Zach Maldonado, a receiver; and Demone Belmarez, a running back.

"Ryan worked extremely hard and overcame injuries," Burnet head coach Doyle Walker said. "He set a great example with his tenacity and courage. Zach can do it all. He’s a very talented young man, a great leader and a good role model. Demone got better as the year went on. He led by example. He stood up and got after it."

Maldonado also was named second team all-district as a defensive back and a returner, while junior offensive lineman Cameron Langley joined him.

"Cameron moved to (offensive and defensive line) and accepted that role because he’s a team player," Walker said.
