Highland Lakes football action continues Friday, Oct. 2, for Week 6 of the 2026 season, with Llano taking on the Brady Bulldogs and Faith Academy traveling to face Castle Hills. Marble Falls and Burnet have bye weeks.
Here are the Friday matchups:
Marble Falls Mustangs (BYE)
LAST WEEK: Navarro 34, Marble Falls 17
Marble Falls was unable to carry its homecoming momentum into Week 5, falling 34-17 to the Navarro Panthers. The loss dropped Marble Falls to 2-3 on the season, while the Panthers improved to 3-1.
The Mustangs entered the matchup following a dominant 55-0 shutout of Austin’s Liberal Arts & Science Academy.
Marble Falls has a bye week before opening district play on the road against the Jarrell Cougars at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 9.

Burnet Bulldogs (BYE)
LAST WEEK: Gatesville 42, Burnet 7
Burnet remains winless heading into its bye week after falling 42-7 to the Gatesville Hornets on Friday, Sept. 25, during the Bulldogs’ homecoming game.
The Bulldogs trailed 21-0 at halftime and managed just one touchdown in the loss, dropping to 0-5 on the season.
Burnet has a bye Friday, Oct. 2, before opening district play on the road against China Spring at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 9.

Faith Academy Flames at The Christian School at Castle Hills (Away)
KICKOFF: 7:30 p.m. Friday
WHERE: Wheatley Heights Sports Complex, 200 Noblewood Drive in San Antonio
Faith Academy returns from its bye week, looking to bounce back from a 58-8 loss to Medina in its final non-district matchup.
The Flames entered the break with a 2-2 record after their two-game winning streak was snapped by the Bobcats on Sept. 18.
Faith Academy will open district play on the road against The Christian School at Castle Hills in San Antonio at 7:30 p.m. Friday.

Llano Yellowjackets at Brady Bulldogs (Away)
KICKOFF: 7:00 p.m. Friday
WHERE: Bulldog Stadium, 1000 S. Wall Street in Brady
LAST WEEK: Llano 34, Bandera 20
Llano heads into Week 6 looking to build on a 34-20 victory over Bandera on Friday, Sept. 25, snapping a two-game losing streak.
The Yellowjackets bounced back after consecutive losses to Blanco and Lago Vista, improving to 3-2 on the season. Llano’s offense totaled 281 rushing yards in the win, including 167 yards from Cole Landers.
Llano will travel to face the Brady Bulldogs at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 2, in its final non-district matchup before opening district play against Wall the following week.
