Burnet booster club to honor Doyle Walker
BURNET — The Burnet Athletic Booster Club is hosting a reception to honor head football coach and athletic director Doyle Walker, who announced his retirement in October.
The event is 5-7 p.m. Dec. 9 in the foyer of The Doghouse, 1000 The Green Mile.
"Come by, have some refreshments and thank coach Walker for his service to the athletes of (Burnet Consolidated Independent School District)," booster club secretary Sharon Schwartz said.
Walker was the head coach and athletic director for five years. His last day is Dec. 31.
