Two Bulldog coaches lead list for top spot

BURNET — Two coaches in the Burnet Consolidated Independent School District football program have emerged as the leading candidates to become Burnet High School’as next head coach and athletic director.

Though BCISD Board President Andy Feild declined to give names, he did say he hoped the board would be able to name Doyle Walker’s successor in Monday’s meeting, which starts at 6:30 p.m. at the BCISD board conference room, 208 E. Brier.

“If we agree on someone, we could get them on board quickly,” Feild said. “We had it posted within the district. I understand there’s been four candidates that have applied.”

After going into executive session, the board will interview both candidates and then go into open session and take a vote if a candidate separates himself from the other.
