Bette B. Berry, 82, died Aug. 29, 2015
Bette B. Berry was born in Houston on Dec. 7, 1932, to Harold and Opal Bauer. She passed away Aug. 29, 2015.
Bette graduated from Spring Branch High School in 1950 and married her high school sweetheart, Jim Berry, on Dec. 12, 1953.
Bette was a career woman with a great business mind. In her early years, she did bookkeeping and office management. But her true passion was real estate. She and Jim owned their own real estate business in Houston, which they sold when they moved to Burnet in 1979 and opened another real estate business. Bette and Jim later moved to Horseshoe Bay, and she joined Horseshoe Bay Corp. She considered her clients and co-workers her second family.
Bette was a very hardworking, dedicated and successful real estate broker.
Most of her time was spent doing real estate. However, she enjoyed dressing up in costumes (the crazier the better), listening to Jim sing, spending time with her dogs Bud and Holly and, of course, spending time with family.
Bette was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Berry; parents, Harold and Opal Bauer; and grandson Hunter Colvin.
She is survived by her daughter, Susan Colvin and husband Drew; son, Steve Berry and wife Nancy; grandchildren James Berry, Mandy Seery and husband Shane, David Berry, Christina Hallmark and husband Richard and Tammy Foster and husband Jonathan; and great-grandchildren, Parker Seery, Kaylee Hallmark and Colton Hallmark.
Bette will be greatly missed by her co-workers, clients, friends and family.
A visitation for family and friends is 5-7 p.m. Sept. 1 at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home, 306 Texas 29 East in Burnet, (512) 756-2222. A funeral service is 11 a.m. Sept. 2. Burial will follow at Lakeland Hills Memorial Park.
Pallbearers are Steve Berry, Drew Colvin, James Berry, David Berry, Richard Hallmark and Jonathan Foster.
