Marcella Beaudry Clayton, 91, of Burnet passed away March 13, 2015. She was born Jan. 13, 1924, in High Prairie, Alberta, Canada. She was one of 13 children born to August and Maggie Ferguson Beaudry.

Marcella grew up in High Prairie and later moved to Edmonton, Alberta, where she met a man from Texas, Max V. Clayton, and fell in love. They married and moved to Texas. She had 11 children and worked very hard in the home and also outside the home at several types of jobs.

After the children were raised, she went back to school to become a nurse. She worked in nursing homes during most of her time as a nurse.

She loved to crochet and play bingo and loved cats.

Marcella was preceded in death by her father and mother; her husband; children Nancy Jane Smith and Catherine Irene Letts; grandchildren Clifford Jackson, Veronica Clayton and Billy Wayne Jackson; and great-grandchildren Jordan Smith, Kaleb Hart and Robert Groth.

Survivors include nine of her 11 children: Frank Eaton (Valerie) of Charlie Lake, Alberta, Canada; Kenny Clayton (Linda) of Seguin; Margaret Kerr of Burnet; James Clayton of Burnet; Charles Clayton of Denver; Reba Sue Stewart of Burnet; Connie McSpadden (Max) of Kingsland; Johnny Clayton (Beth) of Batesville, Arkansas; and Maxine Jackson and (Rusty) Boyd of Marble Falls. She is also survived by 27 grandchildren; 62 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren; and seven of her siblings.

Family visitation is 6-8 p.m. March 20 at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home, 306 Texas 29 East in Burnet, (512) 756-2222. A memorial service is 11 a.m. March 21 at the funeral home.
