Marble Falls boys start fast but lose to Dripping Springs
MARBLE FALLS — The Marble Falls High School boys basketball team couldn’t sustain their tremendous performance in the first quarter, falling to Dripping Springs 67-61 on Feb. 8.
“It was a good game,” Mustangs head coach Neil Laminack said. “We came out, had an amazing first quarter, played really, really well.”
The Mustangs led 21-10 after the first quarter, but the Tigers responded in the second to take a 38-29 lead at halftime.
Marble Falls countered in the third to trim the deficit to 47-42.
“Basketball is one of those games where it can come down to just a few possessions,” Laminack said. “We played five points down the whole game.”
