Powwow part of weekend highlights
BURNET — The Texas Indian Hobbyist Association will hold its annual fall powwow starting at noon Saturday at the Galloway Hammond Recreation Center.
The center is located at 1601 S. Water Street, which is also U.S. 281 North. Visitors will be able to enjoy the colorful pageantry of American Indian dances beginning with the Gourd Dance at 6:30 p.m., followed by the Grand Entry at 7:30 p.m.
