Bulldogs’ big men lead them to win
The Bulldogs held a four-to-eight-point lead for most of the contest with their defense and dominant play in the middle.
“One of the key factors was our height advantage, which Tylor Williamson took advantage of by scoring 17 points mostly from the lane,” Burnet coach Stuart Dixon said. “Right now our strengths are the size of our big players and our defensive hustle.”
Besides the crafty Williamson, junior Kory Everts scored eight points followed by Jessie Malina and Anthony Foster, who dropped in six points each. Dustin Kuehler and sophomore Dalton Homme accounted for four points apiece and Chad May added two. Also competing for the Bulldogs were sophomore Brett Johnson and Kyle Sanford.
“Our expectations are to get these young men some playing experience and to develop them individually to become varsity players sometime this year if needed or for the next season,” Dixon said.
