Watson, Cody Seelig and Ben Stripling.

BURNET — The Marble Falls Middle School seventh-grade boys A basketball went 3-0 and won the Burnet tournament Nov. 21-22.

“The Ponies did a fantastic job winning all three games,” coach Craig Orton said.  Marble Falls beat the Burnet green team Nov. 21 and Dripping Springs and the Burnet white team Nov. 22.

“The year is young, so the Ponies are still learning many plays, but this did not stop them from hustling and playing hard,” Orton said.

The ponies were led by Garrett Gray, who scored 29 points. Aidin Parnell added 22, and Carson Bowen scored 17.

“The Ponies are filled with talent and kids with great attitudes,” Orton said. “Coaches are looking forward to a great season with more wins, lots of hustle and watching the kids get better individually and as a team.”
