Encountering art at Beninis’ ranch
The event began when visitors to the fine arts project were curious about the sculptors whose works are featured on the hillsides, sponsors said. As more people became involved, the topics extended to additional fields, including the performing arts, medicine and healing, dance, gardening and more.
Featured artists at the free event are Warren Cullar of Austin and Sante Fe, sculpture; Catharine Cary of Paris, France, and Johnson City, drawings and paintings; Linda Palmer, Hot Springs, Ark.,The Dancing Trees Series in Prismacolors; and Joe Walsh, Blanco, photography.
Presentations begin at 1:30 p.m. Also on display in the galleries are photographs by Hans Bauer, drawings by Heidi Quintana, a new longhorn sculpture by Bettye Hamblen Turner, cast acrylic sculptures by David Still, small sculptures by Eyfells, sculptures by Deise and Cullar.
The Sculpture Trails will be open. There are more than 100 large-scale sculptures on the hills and roadways of the ranch, including new installations by Benini and Mangan. For more, call (830) 868-5244.
