Longhorn Cavern State Park offers a concert series
The concert is 5:45-8:30 p.m. Cordi is a a composer, jazz pianist, guitarist, accordionist and Austin singer and will release his new album “When the Pianoman Plays the Blues” at the concert.
A grand piano will be brought into the cave for the event.
Simple Sounds is scheduled one to three times a month and tickets can be purchased at $17 for adult and $16 for seniors and teens 13-19.
A pre-concert dinner is offered at $27 for adults and $26 seniors and teens; this includes the price of the concert.
No one under age 13 is allowed. Shoes and socks, as well as a blanket or a light jacket, are recommended. For guest safety and comfort, low-heeled shoes with rubber soles should be worn, park officials said.
Guests are allowed to bring flashlights, video cameras and ice chests, but food is prohibited.
The cavern is located six miles west of U.S. 281 on Park Road 4 and six miles south of Burnet.
