Buddy Poppy Drive is under way soon

HIGHLAND LAKES — A Buddy Poppy Drive to coincide with area Veterans’ Day celebrations is being sponsored by the Ladies Auxiliary of the Marble Falls Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 10376.

“Our Buddy Poppy drive is a very important program,” said Tracy Crawford, senior vice president of the Ladies Auxiliary. “Disabled veterans make the poppy flowers and all donations go to helping our local veterans.”

Supporters can pick up a Buddy Poppy Nov. 8, 9 and 11 in Marble Falls at Walmart, 2700  U.S. 281 North; Sutherlands, 2510  U.S. 281 North; Ace Hardware, 1400 Ninth St.; K-P Liquors, 1205, U.S. 281; the Blue Bonnet Cafe, 211 U.S. 281; and the Horseshoe Bay Post Office, 9740 FM 2147 West in Horseshoe Bay.
