Doris D. Parker

Doris D. Parker, 91, of Burnet passed away Jan. 3, 2013, at the Oaks Nursing Home. She was born May 10, 1921, in Seymour, Texas, to John W. and Tommie Baker Barker.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ.She was preceded in death by her husband, Horace Parker, and son-in-law, Chester Mallett.

Survivors include daughters Lawanna Mallett of Burnet and Rachael Sue and husband Willis Evans of Lampasas; son H.G. Parker and wife Jane of Lampasas; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service is 4 p.m. Jan. 5 at Edgar Funeral Home, 109 N. Main St. in Burnet, (512) 756-4444, with Mr. Jerry Don Sanders officiating. Interment will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Lake Victor.
