Randolph Box
Randolph Box, 78, of Burnet died March 7, 2011, at home with loved ones by his side. He was born to Wallace and Mamie Box Sept. 22, 1932, in Artesia, N.M.
He married Joyce Parrish in 1951 and moved to Burnet in 1958. He worked for many years at Hoover Building & Supply. In 1973 he and his wife owned and operated Montgomery Ward Catalog Store and the Corner Trading Post, and later the J.C. Penney Catalog Store.
He was a very kind man. He loved everyone, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He always offered a helping hand to his family and friends when they needed him.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and tending to his livestock.
Survivors include daughters Terri Richards and husband Bill of Dublin and Cheryl Glaspy and husband Mike of Burnet ; son J.R. Box and wife Brooke of Burnet; grandchildren Tony and Randy Box, Clay Glaspy and Ashlyn Box; and great-grandchildren Cody and Alyssa Box, Blake, Bryson and Chloe Box, and Madison, Haley and James Glaspy; and numerous other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Joyce; and son Radell Box.
A graveside service was held March 10 at Lakeland Hills Memorial Park with the Rev. Werth Mays of the Cowboy Church of Stephenville officiating.
