Ex-Llano deputy indicted in dog shooting incident
LLANO — A retired Llano County deputy accused of shooting a dog through the neck because it went to the bathroom in his yard has been indicted, investigators said.
Melvin Lawson, 66, faces up to two years in a jail if convicted of cruelty to animals in the death of a 2 1/2-year-old Pekingese mix named Munchee Aug. 2.
