Birding and Wildflower Group to host Pollinators Program

The Highland Lakes Birding and Wildflower Association will host a public presentation titled “Ties that Bind: Pollinators, Native Plants and Us” at 10 a.m. on Thursday, May 7, at Trinity Episcopal Church, 909 Avenue D in Marble Falls.
Craig Hensley will lead the program, discussing pollinators, native plants and the role they play in ecosystems, including everyday pollination activity and ways individuals can support conservation efforts. Hensley retired from the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department in 2025 after more than 40 years in conservation and environmental education.
Doors open at 9:30 a.m. for social time and light refreshments, followed by a business meeting at 10 a.m. The presentation begins at 10:30 a.m. Visitors are welcome.
The group will also host a pre-meeting bird walk at 8 a.m. at Johnson Park, 230 Avenue J in Marble Falls, weather permitting. Participants should meet near the playground.
