James Allen Reimers, 71, of Marble Falls passed away March 15, 2025

James Allen “Jim” Reimers, 71, of Marble Falls went to his Heavenly home on Saturday, March 15, 2025, at his home in Fairland, Texas.
Jim was born on November 3, 1953, in Taylor, Texas. He spent most of his childhood in Taylor and his teenage years in Killeen, Texas. He was the third of five children born to Minnie Sophie Kaatz (Reimers) and Nelson Page Reimers.
After high school, Jim found himself back in Marble Falls (Fairland), where his ancestors settled, and spent his earlier life working as a produce/meat market manager for Lakeland Grocery store in Marble Falls. In 1981, he started in his most loved position as a control room operator for the LCRA at the Ferguson Power Plant in Horseshoe Bay. He would retire from there after nearly 25 years. The Ferguson plant and his co-workers were a huge part of his life and where he found joy doing what he loved.
In 1982, he became a father to his daughter, Amanda Leigh Reimers (Peschel), and again, in 1984, to his son, Gregory Nelson Reimers.
In mid-1990, he met Jeannette Kirkpatrick. They were married on November 11, 2000, and he welcomed in Kayla Kirkpatrick and Aaron Kirkpatrick.
Jim is remembered for his prankster personality and being the life of the party wherever he went. He loved anything that was fast—motorcycles, corvettes, life—and loved to cram the most fun he could have in a day. He enjoyed hosting parties and telling jokes and could make up the most elaborate silly stories while having you hanging on and believing every word.
Cooking was a passion of his. He often cooked for crowds, as well as the boat racers when they came to Marble Falls, and could stop people in their tracks with his brisket and ribs. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing the Hill Country, dove hunting, and delving into family history. He loved history.
Survivors include his wife, Jeannette Reimers; daughter, Amanda Peschel; stepdaughter Kayla Kirkpatrick; stepson, Aaron Kirkpatrick; grandchildren, Skylar Buth, Kip Kruse, Ella Peschel, and Nelson Peschel; great-grandchildren, Leighton Buth and Jameson Buth; niece Michelle Reimers (Kelso); nephew Mike Reimers; and his longtime best friend, Mike Royal.
