La-Ti-Da & The Rug Queen is moving from 210 Main St. to 1101 N. Main St. after nearly 20 years in Marble Falls’ downtown district.

“I’m going to miss downtown,” shop owner Michele Hart said. “I’m nervous, but I’m also very excited.”

Hart plans to expand her business at the new location to include antiques, something she said is missing locally.

“Every day, we’re turning away 20 or 30 people that are trying to come in because there are no antique stores,” she said. “I’m going to be bringing in more antiques.”

The expanded business will also offer alterations and monogramming.

“I want people to not just look at it as a place to go shop,” Hart said. “I want people to look at it as a place where they can get stuff done and shop.”

She hopes to open at the new location by late April.
