Mervin ‘Merv’ Franklin Noah, 85, passed away on Feb. 12, 2023
Merv joined his Savior, Feb 12, 2023, from natural causes. He was 85 years old. He was born on Sept 8, 1937, in Enid, Oklahoma, where he was raised and graduated high school.
Merv served in the Air Force from 1956-60 in Minot, North Dakota, where he met and married Bonnie Tesky, with whom he had two daughters.
Merv worked at various times as a nursing home administrator, a landscaper, a pastor and counselor, and an entrepreneur. He loved water skiing, hunting, woodworking, and riding his motorcycle and lawn mower, but what he did was only part of who he was: a kind, generous man who loved the Lord, always eager to share the reason for the hope that was within him. As such, he devoted much of his time to prison ministry as well as drug and alcohol addiction ministries.
He was preceded in death by Mom and Dad, OA and Gladys Noah; brother Kendall Noah; in-laws, Art and Pauline Tesky; sister-in-law Marion Tesky; daughter Sharon Stone; and grandson Slade Moore.
He is survived by wife, Bonnie Noah; brother and sister-in-law Marion and Shirley Noah; brother-in-law and wife Montie and Jackie Tesky; daughter and son-in-law Susane and John Moore; son-in-law Gary Stone; grandchildren Daniel and Lydia Konstanski, Josh and Jen Stone, Shayla and TJ Waldburger, Bubba and Anna Stallcup, Nathan and KK Stone, and Jacob and Bailee Turpen; and 19 great-grandchildren
A service to celebrate Merv’s life will be held at First Baptist Church in Marble Falls, Texas, on March 18, 2023, at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to His Joshua House, P.O. Box 1486, Kingsland, TX 78639.
