GraniteFest 2023 celebrates community with family fun, food, and live music in Granite Shoals. It is 10 a.m.-10 p.m. Saturday, March 18, at Quarry Park, 2221 N. Phillips Ranch Road. Admission is free.
Festivities begin with a children’s bike rodeo and petting zoo. Competitors can participate in pickleball and cornhole tournaments in the shaded facilities at the park. Vendors will sell merchandise, food, and draft beer.
The Ground Zero 2023 Spring Showoff truck show will be held in conjunction with the festival.
The musical lineup features Americana act Mike & the Moonpies at 8 p.m. Country artist Carson Jeffrey opens at 6 p.m. DJ Billy Scott entertains the crowds from noon to 5 p.m.
“GraniteFest got started as a day of music for the community, as free entertainment,” Interim City Manager Peggy Smith told DailyTrib.com. “It’s a big deal for us. This is one of the things that we can do to showcase Granite Shoals.”
Smith pitched the idea for GraniteFest to former City Manager Jeff Looney in 2019. It was canceled in 2020 and 2021 due to the pandemic but returned full force in 2021.
Smith expects this year will be even bigger and better.
Visitors should bring their own seating. No outside alcohol is allowed.
