Local sales tax revenues continue to rise in Highland Lakes cities. The following data reflects reports submitted from the Texas Comptroller’s office for October 2021.

MARBLE FALLS

Marble Falls brought in 26.42 percent more in sales tax revenue when compared to October 2020.

  • October 2021: $1,176,797.46
  • October 2020: $930,852.20 
  • Year-to-date sales tax revenue by October 2021 is $11.06 million, up 20.23 percent from last year.

BURNET

Sales tax revenue for Burnet is up 12.6 percent compared to October 2020.

  • October 2021: $324,392.13
  • October 2020: $288,072.88 
  • Year-to-date sales tax revenue by October 2021 is $2.99 million, up 14.28 percent from last year.

GRANITE SHOALS

Sales tax revenue for Granite Shoals is up 2.92 percent compared to October 2020.

  • October 2021: $39,757.26  
  • October 2020: $38,628.12
  • Total sales tax revenue by October 2021 is $414,066.18, up 7.66 percent from last year.

HORSESHOE BAY

Sales tax revenue for Horseshoe Bay is up 59.97 percent compared to October 2020.

  • October 2021: $218,180.77 
  • October 2020: $136,383.49
  • Total sales tax revenue by October 2021 is $1.74 million, up 33.82 percent from last year.

COTTONWOOD SHORES

Sales tax revenue for Cottonwood Shores is up 36.26 percent compared to October 2020.

  • October 2021: $26,885.80
  • October 2020: $19,730.90
  • Total sales tax revenue by October 2021 is $253,555.12, up 28.48 percent from last year.
